Global Scholars

Now its fourth year, the Global Scholars Program will provide support for young leaders in the specialty from low- and middle-income countries to participate in the ANESTHESIOLOGY® 2018 annual meeting in San Francisco, CA.  In many of these countries, the anesthesia risk is 1000 times greater than ours.  The training need is enormous, too. For example, Uganda’s 40 million citizens have access to only 84 physician anesthesiologists.

The Global Scholars program provides an opportunity to support the professional development with fewer resources and the development of the medical specialty of anesthesiology overseas.

Your support of the Global Scholars will enable them to bring new knowledge home and to build bridges with colleagues in the US and elsewhere.
